From a Wooden House to the Open Road
Our roots trace back to the quiet river town of Marudi. We began in a small, traditional wooden house with a showroom floor that held only a handful of bicycles. In those early days, we built our foundation on honest, hands-on craftsmanship, treating every bike with meticulous care.
As demand grew, we made the pivotal move to Miri. To meet the rapidly changing needs of a growing city, our business evolved. We expanded our expertise beyond bicycles, transitioning successfully into the tyre industry and, for a time, fully operating in the motorcycle sector.

A Return to Our True Passion
Despite our success in motorized transport, we saw that our true potential always lay in bicycles. Driven by a love for the sport and a desire to serve the community, we made the bold decision to pivot back to our roots, transitioning into a 100% dedicated bicycle business.
We took the high-level mechanical precision we learned from motorcycles and applied it to the rapidly advancing world of cycling technology, expertly adapting modern engineering to bicycles. Today, we provide that exact same precision service for both professional, high-performance machines and normal, everyday rides.

The 2022 Transformation
As our vision grew, so did our need for a space that reflected our high standards. In 2022, we underwent a massive shop renovation to completely modernize Hiap Ho Cycle Works. We transformed our traditional storefront into a sleek, professional, and contemporary cycling hub.
This major upgrade was about more than just aesthetics. It allowed us to build a state-of-the-art workspace for our mechanics and a premium showroom to properly display top-tier bicycles and gear, elevating the entire experience for our community.
